I just wanted to clear up any confusion about the add an entry page.

Recently Andrew added a message which displays the users name and IP address when they log on to the page to add an entry. THIS INFORMATION IS NOT MADE PUBLIC.

I don't even get to see it. Apparently a few open diaries were being harassed so Andrew wanted to make sure that people knew that diaryland keeps a record of who posts to them. The only time this information is used is if an open diary is being harassed. He mentioned that he was going to write a message in the news section about it...but I haven't seen it yet. I wanted to set everyone's mind at ease.

So no worries. The only way anyone will know that you posted is if you leave a link yourself.
